Every year Jeremy & his family would go to Yellowstone for their annual trip, and then Jeremy married me. We went a couple of times & well I'm just not all that crazy about Yellowstone so Jer said we'd not be going back unless I planned the trip. Poor kid probably doesn't realize that, that won't be happening anytime soon. Maybe for our 50th Hun! :)
Last year we went the scenic route home from Yellowstone & stopped at the Palisades so Lily could get out & stretch for a minute. Talk about Beauty!! So that is how we ended up in Palisades this year. Thank you Yellowstone :) At first it was NOT as pretty as I remembered, then we found out that they had just drained it so that the farmers could have more water so that was why it was muddy & no vegetation around it. It was still pretty don't get me wrong.
The first evening there we had a lightening storm to watch thank heavens it was on the other side of the reservoir! So much prettier when it's not on top of you!
The next day we went for just a little stroll to see the McCoy Creek
This was the only thing Daniel would do with us. I don't think he is much of a swimmer!
There's the creek :)
The rest of the trip consisted of relaxing, swimming/tubing (didn't get pictures), and wandering around camp
Lily was a little unsteady on her feet, but we practiced a lot & she could walk on her own by the end of the trip. |
Logan got illegal fireworks for his Birthday from his Aunts, so since we were so close to WY we found a spot to shoot them off. The funniest part was watching them run once it was lit.
What a fun filled trip. The last night we forgot to tie the garbage up in the tree & had a Skunk for a visitor too funny!! What great memories :)
