My favorite day was definitely this one!! Despite the fact that Jeremy said the temple was 2 blocks away :) It was like 9...
Did you know the temple is made of red brick & then they put the plaster over it & paint it BRILLIANTLY white every 8ish years. It had been painted 2 years ago & it still hurt to look at it with the sun shining on it!
Lily's personal chauffeur! (she LOVED the stroller rides & screamed to go in & was mad to get out!!)
Ammon's personal chauffeur thank HEAVENS for GREAT cousins!!
Cowee & the temple grounds :)
Daddy & Lily
Also see the round windows? well on both sides of the temple they are there as well & when the temple first opened up they were used as apartments & the little spires (square) were chimneys they have since been closed off & the apartments are used for other purposes now.
The whole family YAY!! So grateful to be a forever family!! Sure to love these guys TONS!!
Last tid bit. President Young didn't like the original spire it was more dome shaped & he said it reminded him of a government office. But the workers convinced him to dedicate it anyway since it had taken so long to build & so he did. 4 months later Pres Young passed away & 1 year later lightening struck the spire & burned it. The headline in the Desseret News read "Pres Young gets his way" Too funny!!
After the temple we went to the river walk way for lunch it was a chilly picnic, but then when we were done the sun came out & so we went on a walk to enjoy it!!
After lunch we sent the boys & the kids back for much needed naps & us girlies went shopping the outlet. I got me a rolling pin!! $10 & it's marble or granite or something needless to say it is HEAVY DUTY & good looking!! :) Mom says they usually run $50 so I say I got a GREAT deal!! (makes ya feel pretty good!)
After shopping we went out to eat at Cafe Rio & had Nilson's Frozen Custard at which point we sang Happy Birthday to Skye & went swimming!! Thanks for sharing your birthday with us Skye Bird!!

Haha the pic with the cow is so lily! I had no idea about the temple facts...very interesting!
I loved visiting the temple grounds too, and despite the 2 blocks being more like 9 I enjoyed the fresh air and exercise (didn't (and still don't) really enjoy my trip though)
Thanks for spending Skye's birthday with her, she still talks about it and tells EVERYONE.
