Bright and early Saturday morning Jeremy headed back to Primary Children's to see our sweet little buddy. He held him for a while and then came back for mom so she could hold him too!
What a sweet little buddy boy!!
When Jeremy came back from visiting without me he was so excited that he wasn't on oxygen (we'd been told he might need it) his O2 stats were mid 90s & blood pressure looked GREAT! So it was all very confusing when the ICU docs were concerned that his O2 levels were so high. They started talking about ways to get his numbers lower by putting him on medication & possibly carbon dioxide to bring the O2 levels lower. What?! Try to wrap your head around that one! The reason being his lungs were being "flooded" with blood & they were worried that his body was suffering from lack of blood, which obviously is not a good thing for his other organs.
Aunt Amy came to take some pictures that evening, and we had quite a few visitors it was nice to know we were so loved! The hospital was still in RSV mode and so the visitors had to be older than 14 & not sick AT ALL!
